How to Start Learning Python from Zero

Python is a good first language because its code reads almost like English. You do not need a powerful computer or a computer science degree to start.
Install Python, or use a free online editor, and write something small on day one. Learn in this order: variables, conditions, loops, lists, functions, then files.
Watching videos feels like progress, but real learning starts when you type the code yourself and it fails. After each topic, change the example and predict what will happen before you run it.
By the second or third week, build something tiny: a marks calculator, a bill splitter or a quiz. Small finished projects teach more than long unfinished courses.
If you use AI, ask it to explain your error, and try the fix yourself. Thirty minutes a day, every day, beats one long session each weekend.
