Abstract

Library Management System JAVA is an open-source Full Stack Web Development project. A comprehensive Library Management System built using Java. This application features user-friendly interfaces for managing books, members, lending operations, and inventory tracking. Suitable for educational institutions, public libraries, and small organizations needing efficient library operations and reporting. A Library Management System made using the concepts of Object Oriented Analysis and Design. Minimal Code is written in the GUI and the entities are decoupled as well. It is built using Java. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Full Stack Web Development mini project or final-year project.

1. Introduction

A Library Management System made using the concepts of Object Oriented Analysis and Design. Minimal Code is written in the GUI and the entities are decoupled as well. The interface is console based. This project was designed during the course "Object Oriented Analysis and Design CS309".

The Class Diagram of the project is also provided along with the Database Schema file. The class diagram file can be opened using Star UML.

This class removes the bidirectional dependency between HoldRequest and Book.

2. Objective

A comprehensive Library Management System built using Java. This application features user-friendly interfaces for managing books, members, lending operations, and inventory tracking. Suitable for educational institutions, public libraries, and small organizations needing efficient library operations and reporting.

This project demonstrates how Java can be applied to a real-world Full Stack Web Development problem.

4. Technology Stack
