Domain, hosting and installation

Get a domain, choose hosting and install WordPress.

📖 Key ideas

  1. A domain is your address (example.com); hosting is where files live.
  2. Point the domain to hosting with DNS (nameservers or A record).
  3. Install via cPanel/Softaculous or manually upload files.
  4. Create a database and user, then run the installer.
  5. Enable SSL (HTTPS) with Let's Encrypt.
💡 Real-life example: Domain is your house address; hosting is the plot of land; WordPress is the house you build.
