Table calculations and LOD expressions

Compute running totals, ranks and fixed-level metrics.

📖 Key ideas

  1. Table calculations compute on the view: running total, percent of total, rank, difference.
  2. Quick table calculations add them with a click.
  3. Compute Using sets direction (Table across, Pane down).
  4. LOD expressions: {FIXED [Customer] : SUM([Sales])}.
  5. INCLUDE and EXCLUDE adjust levels relative to the view.
💡 Real-life example: LOD expressions are measuring each family's total expenses while still looking at the whole street.
