Data wrangling with dplyr
Filter, select, mutate and summarise data.
📖 Key ideas
- filter() keeps rows matching conditions.
- select() picks columns; arrange() sorts.
- mutate() creates new columns.
- group_by() + summarise() calculates group statistics.
- The pipe |> (or %>%) chains steps.
💡 Real-life example: dplyr verbs are kitchen steps: wash (filter), chop (select), cook (mutate), serve (summarise).
filter()Keeps matching rows
mutate()Adds or changes columns
summarise()Reduces to summary values
