Getting started with Python

Python is a simple, readable language used for web, data, AI and automation.

📖 Key ideas

  1. Python code reads almost like English, so it is a great first language.
  2. You run code with the python command or in tools like VS Code, IDLE or Jupyter.
  3. print("Hello") shows text on the screen.
  4. Indentation (spaces at the start of a line) is part of the syntax.
  5. Comments start with # and are ignored by Python.
💡 Real-life example: Python is like a calculator that also understands instructions: you write steps and it does them in order.
