Excel functions and lookups
Use logical, text, date and lookup functions.
📖 Key ideas
- IF, AND, OR for decisions; IFS for many conditions.
- COUNTIF, SUMIF, SUMIFS, AVERAGEIFS for conditional maths.
- XLOOKUP (or VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH) finds values from other tables.
- Text: LEFT, RIGHT, MID, TRIM, CONCAT, TEXT.
- Dates: TODAY, DATEDIF, EOMONTH, NETWORKDAYS.
💡 Real-life example: XLOOKUP is asking the register clerk: "find roll number 21 and tell me the marks".
