Photoshop interface and basics

Find your way around Photoshop.

📖 Key ideas

  1. Photoshop edits raster (pixel) images.
  2. Panels: Layers, Properties, Adjustments, History.
  3. Toolbar: Move, Marquee, Lasso, Crop, Brush, Eraser, Type.
  4. Create documents with size, resolution (72 ppi screen, 300 ppi print) and colour mode.
  5. Save as PSD to keep layers; export JPG/PNG/WebP for sharing.
💡 Real-life example: Photoshop is a digital darkroom and art studio combined.
