Azure fundamentals

Azure is Microsoft's cloud platform for computing, data and AI.

📖 Key ideas

  1. Azure offers 200+ services across compute, storage, networking, data and AI.
  2. Hierarchy: management groups → subscriptions → resource groups → resources.
  3. Regions and availability zones provide resilience; Central India and South India are Indian regions.
  4. Manage via Azure Portal, Azure CLI (az), PowerShell or ARM/Bicep templates.
  5. Free account gives credits and free services.
💡 Real-life example: Azure is a huge office complex: subscriptions are floors, resource groups are rooms, resources are desks.
