Scaling and scheduling

Scale apps and control where pods run.

📖 Key ideas

  1. Set resource requests and limits (CPU, memory).
  2. Horizontal Pod Autoscaler scales replicas by CPU or custom metrics.
  3. Cluster Autoscaler adds/removes nodes.
  4. Node selectors, affinity and taints/tolerations guide placement.
  5. Jobs run once; CronJobs run on schedules.
💡 Real-life example: Requests are booking a seat; limits are the maximum space you are allowed to take.
