Why Kubernetes?
Kubernetes runs and manages containers across many machines.
📖 Key ideas
- Kubernetes (K8s) is an open-source container orchestrator from Google, now CNCF.
- It schedules containers, restarts failed ones and scales them.
- Declarative: you describe the desired state in YAML; K8s makes it so.
- Runs anywhere: cloud (GKE, EKS, AKS) or on-premises.
- Practise locally with minikube, kind or Docker Desktop.
💡 Real-life example: Kubernetes is an airport control tower directing hundreds of planes (containers) safely.
