Choose between Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Run and GKE.

📖 Key ideas

  1. Compute Engine: virtual machines (IaaS).
  2. App Engine: managed platform for web apps.
  3. Cloud Run: run containers serverlessly, scale to zero.
  4. Cloud Functions (Cloud Run functions): event-driven code.
  5. GKE: managed Kubernetes.
💡 Real-life example: Cloud Run is a hotel room for your container: check in instantly, pay only for nights used.
