Building web services in Go

Create HTTP APIs with the standard library and frameworks.

📖 Key ideas

  1. net/http serves HTTP: http.HandleFunc("/", handler).
  2. Go 1.22+ routing supports methods and params: "GET /users/{id}".
  3. encoding/json encodes and decodes JSON.
  4. Frameworks: Gin, Echo, Fiber, Chi.
  5. Connect databases with database/sql or pgx; deploy as a small Docker image.
💡 Real-life example: Go's standard library is a well-stocked kitchen: you can cook a full API without buying extra tools.
