Cloud Storage

📖 Key ideas

  1. Cloud Storage for Firebase stores user files in buckets.
  2. uploadBytes(ref(storage, "avatars/uid.jpg"), file).
  3. getDownloadURL returns a link to show the file.
  4. Storage Rules restrict who can upload/read and file size/type.
  5. Resize images with the Resize Images extension or functions.
💡 Real-life example: Cloud Storage is a locker room: each file in its own locker, rules decide who gets the key.
