Debugging and tools
Build, flash and debug embedded firmware.
📖 Key ideas
- Toolchains: GCC ARM, Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, STM32CubeIDE, Keil.
- Flash firmware via USB bootloaders or programmers (ST-Link, J-Link).
- Debug with breakpoints over SWD/JTAG.
- Use serial logs, logic analysers and oscilloscopes.
- Simulators: Proteus, Wokwi, Renode.
💡 Real-life example: A logic analyser is a slow-motion camera showing every signal as it switches.
