Deployment and cloud

Publish .NET apps to servers, containers and Azure.

📖 Key ideas

  1. dotnet publish -c Release produces deployable output.
  2. Containerise: dotnet publish with container support or a Dockerfile.
  3. Deploy to Azure App Service, AWS, Linux VMs or Kubernetes.
  4. Logging with ILogger and Serilog; health checks via MapHealthChecks.
  5. Use CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
💡 Real-life example: Deployment is shipping a packed container: it runs the same in any port (cloud) it reaches.
