📖 Key ideas

  1. Docker images package app + dependencies.
  2. Build images in CI and push to a registry (Docker Hub, ECR, GHCR).
  3. Tag images with version or commit SHA.
  4. Scan images for vulnerabilities (Trivy).
  5. Run the same image in every environment.
💡 Real-life example: Containers are sealed tiffin boxes: the meal tastes the same in any office it reaches.
