MS Excel basics

📖 Key ideas

  1. Excel is a grid of cells; each cell has an address like B3.
  2. Formulas start with =, for example =A1+B1.
  3. SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX and COUNT are common functions.
  4. AutoFill copies a formula or series by dragging the fill handle.
  5. Format numbers as currency, percentage or date.
