Networking: VPC

Build private networks in AWS.

📖 Key ideas

  1. A VPC is your private network in a region.
  2. Subnets split a VPC: public (internet-facing) and private.
  3. Internet Gateway gives public subnets internet access.
  4. NAT Gateway lets private subnets reach the internet outbound only.
  5. Route tables and NACLs control traffic.
💡 Real-life example: A VPC is a gated campus: public buildings face the road, private labs sit deep inside.
