Cloud and AWS basics
AWS rents computing, storage and services over the internet.
📖 Key ideas
- Cloud computing means renting IT resources on demand, paying per use.
- AWS is the largest cloud provider with 200+ services.
- Regions are geographic areas; each has multiple Availability Zones (AZs).
- Service models: IaaS (EC2), PaaS (Elastic Beanstalk), SaaS.
- Free Tier lets you practise at low or no cost.
💡 Real-life example: AWS is a giant rental shop: instead of buying servers, you hire exactly what you need by the hour.
