Protect other people's data

When you are stuck, it is tempting to paste a whole file into an AI chat. That file may hold customer names, phone numbers, or passwords. The clients trusted the company with that data, and it is not yours to share.

Share the problem, not the data

• Remove names, numbers, addresses, keys and passwords.
• Send the smallest sample that still shows the error.
• Follow your company's rules on which tools may see which data.
• If real data was sent, tell your senior at once. Never hide it.
