Getting started with Node.js

Node.js runs JavaScript on a server or your own computer. It handles many connections at once by not waiting around for slow work, which makes it a good fit for APIs.

// hello.js: run with  node hello.js
console.log("Vanakkam from Node", process.version);

npm init -y
npm install express
node server.js

package.json lists your project and its dependencies. Do not commit node_modules: anyone can recreate it with npm install.
