Abstract
The Wild Oasis is an open-source Full Stack Web Development project. An internal hotel management system allows employees to manage everything about hotel bookings, cabins, and guests. The Wild Oasis is an internal hotel management system built with nextjs13, prisma, MongoDB, typescript, tailwind CSS, and many other technologies. It allows employees to manage everything about hotel bookings, cabins, and guests. It is built using TypeScript, MongoDB, React, Tailwind CSS. Key capabilities include: User Authentication and Signup:; Hotel employees can log in to the application to perform tasks; New users can only be signed up within the application to ensure that only actual hotel employees can create accounts. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Full Stack Web Development mini project or final-year project.
1. Introduction
The Wild Oasis is an internal hotel management system built with nextjs13, prisma, MongoDB, typescript, tailwind CSS, and many other technologies. It allows employees to manage everything about hotel bookings, cabins, and guests.
2. Objective
An internal hotel management system allows employees to manage everything about hotel bookings, cabins, and guests.
This project demonstrates how TypeScript, MongoDB, React can be applied to a real-world Full Stack Web Development problem.
3. Key Features / Modules
- User Authentication and Signup:
- Hotel employees can log in to the application to perform tasks.
- New users can only be signed up within the application to ensure that only actual hotel employees can create accounts.
- User Profile Management:
- Users can upload an avatar to personalize their profile.
- Users can change their name and password.
- Cabin Management:
- The app provides a table view with all cabins.
- The table view displays cabin information, including cabin photo, name, capacity, price, and current discount.
- Users can update or delete existing cabins.
4. Technology Stack

7. Future Enhancements
Suggested extensions you can add to make this your own project.
- Add role-based access control
- Deploy on a VPS or cPanel hosting with a custom domain
- Add automated tests and a CI pipeline
8. Viva / Review Questions
Common questions examiners ask for projects in this domain.
- Explain the frontend, backend and database layers of this application.
- How is user authentication and authorisation implemented?
- Describe the main database tables / collections and their relationships.
- Which REST APIs or routes are exposed and what do they return?
- How would you deploy this application to production?
