Abstract

Photok is an open-source Mobile App Development project. Private photo vault for Android. Photok is a secure private photo vault for Android that helps you hide photos and videos using strong AES-256 encryption. It protects sensitive media in an encrypted gallery and keeps your private memories safe on your own device. It is built using Kotlin, Android. Key capabilities include: Import photos and videos from your gallery; Organize private media into albums; Export files anytime. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the Apache License 2.0, making it a useful reference for students building a Mobile App Development mini project or final-year project.

1. Introduction

Photok is a secure private photo vault for Android that helps you hide photos and videos using strong AES-256 encryption. It protects sensitive media in an encrypted gallery and keeps your private memories safe on your own device.

Photok is open source, ad-free, and built with a privacy-first philosophy. It is developed by me (Leon) and public volunteers.

Photok is available on Google Play and F-Droid. Aswell as some alternatives.
