Abstract

Habitica Android is an open-source Mobile App Development project. Native Android app for Habitica. Due to changes in the tech landscape and in how our player base interacts with Habitica on various platforms, we have made the decision to pause our acceptance of code-based contributions (Blacksmith tiers). Our codebase will remain open-source and publicly visible. It is built using Kotlin, Java, Android. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the GNU General Public License v3.0, making it a useful reference for students building a Mobile App Development mini project or final-year project.

1. Introduction

Due to changes in the tech landscape and in how our player base interacts with Habitica on various platforms, we have made the decision to pause our acceptance of code-based contributions (Blacksmith tiers). Our codebase will remain open-source and publicly visible. If you’d like to know more about this pause, you can find additional details on the GitHub wiki.

This repository prohibits the submission of code generated by large language models (LLMs), AI coding assistants, or automated generation tools. All code must be authored entirely by humans. AI-assisted commits will be rejected during pull request reviews.

Habitica is an open source habit building program which treats your life like a Role Playing Game. Level up as you succeed, lose HP as you fail, earn money to buy weapons and armor. This repository is related to the Android Native Application.
