Abstract
The Hitchhikers Guideto DFIRExperiences From Beginnersand Experts is an open-source Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking project. The official repo for a project involving a crowdsourced DFIR book. The main purpose of this book is to give anyone interested an opportunity to write a chapter of a book to get their name out there, get a publication on their resume with an actual ISBN number, and ideally lower the bar for people to contribute something back to the DFIR Community. Want to write a chapter? Let me know and let's make it happen!. Check out the book on Leanpub and Bookwire (PDF and ePub). It is built using Ruby. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking mini project or final-year project.
1. Introduction
Check out the book on Leanpub and Bookwire (PDF and ePub).
This is a proof of concept and a great first step for providing a different method of knowledge sharing within the DFIR space.
2. Objective
Let me know and let's make it happen!
This project demonstrates how Ruby can be applied to a real-world Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking problem.
