Abstract
Kudu is an open-source Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking project. Free Windows, Mac and Linux cleaner, scanner, and more. Kudu reclaims disk space, removes malware, and protects your privacy — without ads, bundled software, or upsells. Everything runs locally, and every line of code is open for you to audit. It is built using TypeScript. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking mini project or final-year project.
1. Introduction
Kudu reclaims disk space, removes malware, and protects your privacy — without ads, bundled software, or upsells. Everything runs locally, and every line of code is open for you to audit.
It covers system, browser, app, and game cache cleaning; registry and startup management; a disk analyzer; a malware scanner; privacy controls; a software updater; performance monitoring; scheduled scans; and a scriptable CLI. See the website for the full feature list and the cleaner directory for every supported app.
Free, open-source system cleaner and security scanner for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
2. Objective
Free Windows, Mac and Linux cleaner, scanner, and more.
This project demonstrates how TypeScript can be applied to a real-world Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking problem.
