Abstract
Clean Architecture Dotnet is an open-source Blockchain & Cloud Computing project. 🕸 Yet Another .NET Clean Architecture, but for Microservices project. It uses Minimal Clean Architecture with DDD-lite, CQRS-lite, and just enough Cloud-native patterns apply on the simple eCommerce sample and run on Tye with Dapr extension 🍻. In the end of our journey, we would like to give these simplified and effortless libraries and samples as a reward for you. Enjoy the Minimal Clean Architecture, Domain-driven Design Lite, CQRS Lite, and just enough Cloud-native patterns! It is built using C#, Kubernetes. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Blockchain & Cloud Computing mini project or final-year project.
1. Introduction
In the end of our journey, we would like to give these simplified and effortless libraries and samples as a reward for you. Enjoy the Minimal Clean Architecture, Domain-driven Design Lite, CQRS Lite, and just enough Cloud-native patterns!
"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." - Albert Einstein
We know that, and that's a reason we publish these libraries and samples. These are distillations with all best practices, tips, and tricks, and whatever made us spend a lot of time struggling to solve.
2. Objective
🕸 Yet Another .NET Clean Architecture, but for Microservices project. It uses Minimal Clean Architecture with DDD-lite, CQRS-lite, and just enough Cloud-native patterns apply on the simple eCommerce sample and run on Tye with Dapr extension 🍻
This project demonstrates how C#, Kubernetes can be applied to a real-world Blockchain & Cloud Computing problem.
4. Technology Stack
- .NET Core 6 - .NET Framework and .NET Core, including ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core
- MVC Versioning API - Set of libraries which add service API versioning to ASP.NET Web API, OData with ASP.NET Web API, and ASP.NET Core
- YARP - A toolkit for developing high-performance HTTP reverse proxy applications
- MediatR - Simple, unambitious mediator implementation in .NET
- EF Core - Modern object-database mapper for .NET. It supports LINQ queries, change tracking, updates, and schema migrations
- FluentValidation - Popular .NET validation library for building strongly-typed validation rules
- Swagger & Swagger UI - Swagger tools for documenting API's built on ASP.NET Core
- serilog - Simple .NET logging with fully-structured events
5. System Requirements
General requirements for this technology stack — check the README for exact versions.
- .NET SDK / Visual Studio
- Git (to clone the repository)
6. Installation & Setup
git clone https://github.com/thangchung/clean-architecture-dotnet.git
cd clean-architecture-dotnetFull setup instructions are in the project README.
7. Future Enhancements
Suggested extensions you can add to make this your own project.
- Add a CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions
- Deploy to a public test network or cloud free tier
- Add monitoring and cost alerts
8. Viva / Review Questions
Common questions examiners ask for projects in this domain.
- Why does this problem need a blockchain or cloud-native design?
- Explain the smart contract / infrastructure components and how they interact.
- How are gas costs or cloud costs kept under control?
- How is the system secured (keys, IAM, access control)?
- How would the solution scale to many more users?
