Abstract
Allure Docker Service is an open-source Blockchain & Cloud Computing project. This docker container allows you to see up to date reports simply mounting your "allure-results" directory in the container (for a Single Project) or your "projects" directory (for Multiple Projects). Every time appears new results (generated for your tests), Allure Docker Service will detect those changes and it will generate a new report automatically (optional: send results / generate report through API), what you will see refreshing your browser. For that reason, this docker container allows you to see up to date reports simply mounting your allure-results directory (for a Single Project) or your projects directory (for Multiple Projects). Every time appears new results (generated for your tests), Allure Docker Service will detect those changes and it will generate a new report automatically (optional: send results / generate report through API), what you will see refreshing your browser. It is built using Python, Docker. Key capabilities include: Useful for developers who wants to run tests locally and want to see what were the problems during regressions; Useful for the team to check the tests status for every project. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the Apache License 2.0, making it a useful reference for students building a Blockchain & Cloud Computing mini project or final-year project.
1. Introduction
Allure Framework provides you good looking reports for automation testing. For using this tool is required to install a server. You could have this server running on Jenkins or if you want to see reports locally, you need to run some commands on your machine. This work results tedious, at least for me :)
2. Objective
This project demonstrates how Python, Docker can be applied to a real-world Blockchain & Cloud Computing problem.
3. Key Features / Modules
- Useful for developers who wants to run tests locally and want to see what were the problems during regressions.
- Useful for the team to check the tests status for every project.
4. Technology Stack
5. System Requirements
General requirements for this technology stack — check the README for exact versions.
- Python 3.8 or later
- pip / virtualenv for dependencies
- VS Code, PyCharm or Jupyter Notebook
- Git (to clone the repository)
6. Installation & Setup
git clone https://github.com/fescobar/allure-docker-service.git
cd allure-docker-service- allure-docker-kubernetes-example
sudo apt-get updatesudo apt install -y docker.ioFull setup instructions are in the project README.
7. Future Enhancements
Suggested extensions you can add to make this your own project.
- Add a CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions
- Deploy to a public test network or cloud free tier
- Add monitoring and cost alerts
8. Viva / Review Questions
Common questions examiners ask for projects in this domain.
- Why does this problem need a blockchain or cloud-native design?
- Explain the smart contract / infrastructure components and how they interact.
- How are gas costs or cloud costs kept under control?
- How is the system secured (keys, IAM, access control)?
- How would the solution scale to many more users?
