Abstract

Inventory Management System is an open-source Full Stack Web Development project. Simple PHP, MySQL inventory control system. It is built using PHP. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Full Stack Web Development mini project or final-year project.

  • PHP 7.4+ with a web server (XAMPP / WAMP / LAMP)
  • MySQL / MariaDB
  • phpMyAdmin (optional)
  • Git (to clone the repository)

6. Installation & Setup

git clone https://github.com/KryptonB/inventory-management-system.git
cd inventory-management-system
  1. Fork the repository and move the root folder to the deployment folder of your server. (for Apache, this is htdocs)
  2. Create a blank DB called shop_inventory in MySQL
  3. Create a new user called _inventoryUser_ with a password as _password_ and give full permission to that user.
  4. Load the sql dump to the newly created _shop_inventory_ database
  5. Change the root url of your website in constants.php file
  6. Access the login.php file from via browser and give _guest_ as username and _1234_ as password

  • Deploy on a VPS or cPanel hosting with a custom domain
