Abstract
Cosmic is an open-source Mobile App Development project. A simple and elegant music player app. Built with Cordova & Ionic Framework. This is a music player app for Android (4.1+) smartphones. It is built using Apache Cordova and Ionic Framework. It is built using JavaScript. Key capabilities include: Scan recursively local directories, load music files into SQLite local database; Media controls in notifications, using music-controls-plugin; ID3 Tags reading (including album cover), using JavaScript-ID3-Reader. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Mobile App Development mini project or final-year project.
