Abstract
Audile is an open-source Mobile App Development project. An open-source Android app for music recognition that integrates AudD, ACRCloud, and Shazam to perform song identification. Audile is an open-source music recognition app that can help you quickly and accurately identify a music track playing near you. The app integrates AudD, ACRCloud, and Shazam for song identification, and uses Odesli to retrieve platform-specific track links. It is built using Kotlin, Android, Jetpack Compose. Key capabilities include: Background Usage - Use the app seamlessly from the notification drawer, home screen widget, floating button, or quick settings tile. Manage the recognition process and obtain track information without launching the app; Track Information - Upon successful recognition, the app provides information about the track, including the title, artist, album, release year, artwork, lyrics, and links to the track on popular music services; Library - All recognized tracks are stored in the app library. You can filter the track list, create a favorites collection, search for tracks, or delete tracks. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the GNU General Public License v3.0, making it a useful reference for students building a Mobile App Development mini project or final-year project.

2. Objective
An open-source Android app for music recognition that integrates AudD, ACRCloud, and Shazam to perform song identification.
This project demonstrates how Kotlin, Android, Jetpack Compose can be applied to a real-world Mobile App Development problem.
3. Key Features / Modules
- Background Usage - Use the app seamlessly from the notification drawer, home screen widget, floating button, or quick settings tile. Manage the recognition process and obtain track information without launching the app.
- Track Information - Upon successful recognition, the app provides information about the track, including the title, artist, album, release year, artwork, lyrics, and links to the track on popular music services.
- Library - All recognized tracks are stored in the app library. You can filter the track list, create a favorites collection, search for tracks, or delete tracks.

- Which framework is used and why (native vs cross-platform)?
- How is app state managed across screens?
- Where is the data stored — locally, Firebase or a REST backend?
- How are permissions (camera, location, storage) handled?
- How would you publish this app to the Play Store / App Store?
