Abstract

Pass Winmenu is an open-source Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking project. An easy-to-use password manager for Windows, compatible with pass. While many Linux integrations for pass are available, there are fewer options for Windows. Pass-winmenu aims to fill that gap. It is built using C#. The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License, making it a useful reference for students building a Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking mini project or final-year project.

1. Introduction

While many Linux integrations for pass are available, there are fewer options for Windows. Pass-winmenu aims to fill that gap. It allows for easy, keyboard-friendly interaction and has a minimal interface that stays out of your way.

Pass-winmenu follows the philosophy of (and is compatible with) the Linux password manager pass, which defines an open standard for password management that's easy to extend and customise to your personal requirements.

security analysts, journalists, Linux distributions and many other parties all over the world

2. Objective

An easy-to-use password manager for Windows, compatible with pass.

This project demonstrates how C# can be applied to a real-world Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking problem.
